Carlo Alviggi is professor at the University Federico II of Naples and has been the Head of the oncofertility program for patients with either oncological and chronic benign malignancies since 2018. His department represents a large referral center for Southern Italy with more than 300 fertility preservation procedures performed each year. In addition, he is vice-president of the Italian Society of Fertility, Sterility and Reproductive Medicine (Società Italiana di Fertilità, Sterilità e Medicina Riproduttiva; SIFES-MR) and is currently involved in the revision of the Oncofertility guideline of the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (Associazione Italiana di Oncologia Medica; AIOM). 

Giovanni Boniolo is a former full professor at the University of Padua (Department of Philosophy), the University of Milan (Department of Medicine and affiliated to the Department of Experimental Oncology of the European Institute of Oncology and the University of Ferrara (Department of Neuroscience and Rehabilitation). He is now collaborating with the European School of Oncology. His interests are the philosophy of medicine and biomedicine, research and clinical practice ethics, and ethical counseling in oncology.

Maria Luisa Di Pietro, MD, specialized in Endocrinology and Forensic Medicine, is associate professor of Forensic Medicine and Director of Centre for Procreative Health at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome. She is vice-president of the Italian Committee for Bioethics. Her main research interests are preconception health, fertility and sterility, food security, public health and health education.

Barbara Alicja Jereczek-Fossa, MD, PhD, is full professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Milan and Chair of the Radiation Oncology Department at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy. She is the President-elect of the European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO). Her research primarily focuses on innovations in radiation oncology, combined drug-radiation treatments, and urological and breast cancer. The ultimate goal of her work is to provide cancer patients and their families with access to high-quality treatments, ensuring the best possible outcomes in tumor control and quality of life.

 

Fabio Martinelli, MD is Assistant Professor in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Humanitas University and Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Surgical Division at Humanitas San Pio X, Milan, Italy. He is an ESGO certified Gynaecological Oncologist. His activities are mainly focused on surgical treatment of gynecologic cancers and techniques for fertility preservation.

Eleonora Porcu is Professor at the Alma Mater University of Bologna, specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology, expert in Reproductive Medicine. Her main field of research includes Fertility Preservation, particularly oocyte storage in girls and young adults at risk of premature ovarian insufficiency. She is also member of the High Council of Health at the Italian Ministry of Health.

Alberto Revelli is a Full Professor in Gynecology, Obstetrics and Reproductive Biotechnology at the University of Torino, Italy. He is director of the SCDU2 of Gynecology and Obstetrics and founder of the FERTISAVE program for fertility preservation, both at the S. Anna Hospital in Turin, and IVF consultant at IVIRMA-LIVET Clinic in Turin. Besides, he is consultant of the Italian Ministry of Health.

 

Giovanni Vento MD, is Associate Professor in Pediatrics at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, Italy and Director of the Neonatology Division at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS in Rome. His main research interests include neonatal respiratory physiology, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia and management of neonatal outcomes related to diseases of the pregnant woman, including cancer. He is the creator of a new technique which involves a lung recruitment maneuver before surfactant administration (IN-REC-SUR-E) in extremely preterm infants.
